A practical approach to AI

The programme, which ran over several months, included several hours of practical training and was structured into modules focusing on the main areas of AI applied to business. The training activities, led by industry professionals and experts, explored aspects such as the use of tools in business processes, interaction with language models, data analysis and opportunities for automation. The aim was not only to understand how AI works, but also to acquire useful tools for assessing its application in real-world production contexts.

The aim is to transform the skills acquired into operational opportunities, with a view to improving efficiency, quality and analytical capabilities across the various stages of production. This investment confirms the company’s approach: to combine technical and manufacturing strength with a continuous process of development, in order to respond effectively to market changes and drive the evolution of business processes through artificial intelligence.

It is in this context that ViDiMa was involved in the development of a basket with a shelf and container function for an ergonomic baby bath.

Critical issues that emerged from the initial design

Analysis of the design proposed by the customer highlighted a number of critical issues, both in terms of manufacturing and, above all, safety.

The planned configuration included elements that could create potentially critical points along the edge of the product. In an item intended for use with newborns, even aspects of this type require specific design attention. Furthermore, any corrective action on the critical parts would have led to an increase in production complexity and quality control costs, without structurally resolving the safety issue.

The solution developed by ViDiMa

Based on these assessments, ViDiMa worked on a design review with a clear objective: to integrate safety directly into the product configuration.

Through a targeted redesign of the structural elements, a solution was defined that guarantees a high standard of safety while simplifying the production process and reducing the critical issues associated with processing and controls.

A safer and more efficient result

The end result is a safer product, consistent with its intended use and more efficient from a production point of view.

This case is a concrete example of the ViDiMa approach: analysing the initial design, identifying critical points and taking structural action to develop reliable and sustainable solutions.

Critical issues that emerged from the initial project

On the other hand, some design choices would have involved such complex production that they would have had a significant impact on the overall costs of the product. This is a common situation in the industrial sector: a theoretically valid solution which, when compared with the actual conditions of use and economic constraints, risks losing its effectiveness and sustainability over time.

Based on these assessments, ViDiMa worked closely with the customer on a comprehensive review of the project, with a clear objective: to make the solution more robust, efficient and sustainable, without altering its required functionality. Through a targeted redesign of the structural elements, ViDiMa overcame the critical issues that emerged during the analysis phase, achieving a more solid and better optimised solution in terms of production and economics, while maintaining the product’s suitability for its intended industrial use.

Investments 2025

In 2025, our company continued its development path with measures aimed at improving processes, quality and operating conditions. Among the investments made:

• Wire straightener optimisation – Collaboration with Schnell: project developed together with Schnell to improve wire straightener settings, with positive effects on productivity, process uniformity and reduction of physical effort required by operators.
• Easydur tensile testing machine: installation of an advanced system for mechanical wire analysis, enabling more accurate checks and better characterisation of the materials used.
• New Schlatter Posiweld welding machine for complex processes: a versatile system designed to handle special geometries and non-standard components more safely and efficiently, already capable of simplifying processes that were previously very demanding.
• New Numalliance wire bending machine: this will enable us to expand our product range, increase the quality of our parts and further improve the efficiency of the department.

Investments 2026

The technological upgrade plan is set to continue next year, with investments focused in particular on wire bending and the production of complex items. These measures confirm ViDiMa’s commitment to continuous innovation, aimed at making the company increasingly modern, efficient and competitive.
